Big TV!

As my first contribution to our blog, I thought I would share a classy and sophisticated video of my lovely daughter.
She's learning how to really talk and it is SO fun to hear all of the new things she is saying.
I'll come home from work and she will say something like "Breakfast" and I will freak out.
Today she came up with something I thought you all would enjoy:

Just because...

Jaron wants me to post something so we don't have to look at Makayla's new coat every time we check our blog. And I'm kinda agreeing with him (sorry, I was just SO excited about our great buys). :)

I thought I'd take a change of pace and talk about what God's been doing in our lives recently... We've just joined the greatest small group and are loving getting to know everyone better. Its been a while since we've had a good group of church friends (actually this is the first time in our married life that we've even hung out with other church couples), and its such a blessing to have that connection. If you're not in a small group somewhere, get in one!

Even though Jaron's had to work a lot recently, its nice to see things falling into place and its made us trust in God more- knowing that all this work is for His kingdom... I feel so blessed that my husband can be apart of God's work in such a unique way.

We feel God is calling us into some different areas, places we haven't been before. Its both exciting and frightening, but we know He is in control, and we feel our faith being strengthened every day.
Please keep us in your prayers as we're going through some transitions. We are completely trusting God and know that His plans will prevail in our lives.

Ok, if you haven't heard me rave about Divine Consign yet, get ready... I went to the Presale yesterday and got the CUTEST clothes for my girls. Also, I found a Bumbo seat for Aimee for $10! It didn't even look used. We found some brand new DVD's for $5, boots for Makayla for $6, I could go on and on, but I decided to show you pictures instead! Here's some of my favorite purchases (I apologize for the poor picture taking)...

This might be my favorite- an Old Navy jacket for Makayla (looks brand new)- $5! I looked up a similar jacket at Gap and it was over $50! Score!!!

All of these purchases were $7 and under.

I just realized I hadn't blogged in over a week... that's a record for me, I think. We've been super busy this past week. I started BSF and Jaron and I went to our first small group meeting. Bryn's getting some new teeth and has been kinda cranky, but she's doing a little better. Makayla's been the most sane of all of us this week, and has been so sweet to me. Jaron and I have been a little under the weather, and Makayla's hugs and kisses have been extra special this past week. So, I decided to dedicate this post to her. She's grown so fast, here's a few pics of her first 2 years....

I love you sweet girl... thanks for being mommy's little angel this week.

Ok, for those of you that don't know, I absolutely cannot STAND pickles. I hate the smell, taste, texture, look of them. I have a dislike for olives and bananas, but will still eat them in things. BUT, I still cannot eat anything, even with the smallest amount of pickles or relish in it. SO, naturally, I have not really introduced pickles into my children's lives b/c they're just so nasty. Well, recently, every time Makayla has tasted one (at Jason's deli, particularly), she has scarfed them down. So, yesterday, I gave in and got her a jar. Of course, during snacktime today, she saw them in the pantry and had to have them. Seriously, I don't think I've ever been so sick, opening the jar, prying out that nasty, awful thing, and watching my beautiful little girl devour it like a little piggie. I almost lost my lunch, but did manage to take some pics so I can prove that I'm letting her eat them now. Anyway, Makayla's still a cutie, even with pickle juice running down her tummy. YUCK!!!

3 small steps...

Well, she finally did it. Brynley decided she was tired of crawling and took 3 whole steps today! And, she was standing on her own for longer periods of time than she ever has before. She thinks its a game, but hey, its working. My little girls are growing up, but every day is so much fun. Even when I don't think I could get any more tired and I want to pull all my hair out (like today), I still love them. :)

My brother, Jeff has returned from Kuwait (serving as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves). I forgot my camera, so I had to steal these pics from Aimee. :) We're so glad to have him home safe and sound!
